New Work

During 2020 Laurel began cold water swimming in wild locations across the Peak District. Regular swims and studies made on location inform her new body of work exploring landscape painting as a sensory and psychological experience. Laurel’s new work seeks to capture bodily immersion in a watery landscape as well as psychological tensions between the spirit of the time and the spirit of the deep inspired by her reading of Carl Jung’s Red Book.
